In 2009, SwitzGroup and Dawn Foods formed a joint venture to develop the frozen bakery market in the region and became the largest manufacturer of frozen donuts in the middle east, the client list consisted of reputed names like Tim Hortons, Panda, Carrefour, Lulu.
Regrettably, the factory caught fire, everything built over 11 years turned into ashes.
We at Switz have had time to reflect and have decided to rebuild because our knowledge of industrial frozen manufacturing continues to be unique in the region. Our new goal is to become the largest industrial frozen bakery in the Middle East.
To accomplish this, we needed a fresh start and rebranded our business to be Phoenix Foods.
We endeavour to govern Phoenix foods with the highest food and safety certifications and are in the process to obtain ISO 22000:2005, BRC -Issue 7, SQMS etc certifications.
